Receiving is an important facet of self-mothering and a space of self-nourishment that most women struggle with. Dr. Gertrude unpacks some of her own blocks for receiving love and support. Her impromptu decision to attend a celebration led by Clark Strand and Perdita Finn invited many unknowns, uncertainties, and opportunities for expansion. As she crossed this threshold while she was on the verge of turning in the final chapters of her book, her experiences brought her closer to herself, her friends, and the divine feminine than she ever would have imagined. 

Dr. Gertrude shares how an astrology reading at the time put words to her experience of moving through a core wound around being seen and how she integrated that information into action. She reflects on her writing journey, the editing process, and the many healing conversations along the way with gratitude and excitement.
