Welcome to a new series. This series is about building your business during the summer, and although we’re focusing on summer, you’ll be able to apply what we talk about to the rest of the year.
This series is about how to build your business alongside your life. This series will help you live the life of a successful direct seller.
In this episode, I walk you through several questions to help you plan for success.
What do you want (or need) your summer to be?
Summer can be a season of growth, a season to reset, or a season of rest. What area do you want to focus on if you want to grow? If you want to rest, what can you still do so that when you want to get back to your business, you have a business to get back to?
What’s the minimum you want to accomplish in your business this summer?
If you’re having a summer of rest, doing three parties by the end of the summer might be your minimum. If you’re having a summer of growth, you might want to earn the trip or promote by the end of the summer.
Looking at the summer as a whole will allow you to reach your goals and still have a full personal life.
What is the most you're willing to do for/in your business?
How many hours a day/week/month are you willing to work? How many parties are you willing to do? How many opportunity events are you willing to do?
What are your personal and business non-negotiables?
What have you committed to, and what do you not want to miss out on?
Once you have an idea of your non-negotiables, how you define success, the minimum you want from your business, and the most you’re willing to do, line it all up and see how it works out.
What business and personal compromises are you willing to make?
You might not need to compromise, but it’s a good idea to think about this question now when you’re in a good space rather than at the end of August when you’re scrambling to reach your goals.
What creative solutions can you use to reach your goals?
How can you show that you’re living the life of a successful direct seller?
Go on vacation and unplug, or work while you’re on vacation, but let people know you’re living a life of choice.
This summer can be your most successful as long as you’re purposeful about it.
