In this Heads Talk episode as part of the series of conversations with CSuite Financial and Fintech Leaders, I had a conversation with Robert Bueninck, CEO of Unzer. 

The conversation was dominated by the recent launch of Unzer’s BNPL offering for the B2B market - #UPayLater. Robert talked about the advantages of this model, allowing merchants and retailers to maintain valued end-customer relationships while ensuring they are able to offer them payment options. Issues around regulation came up in the conversation and we talked about the different approaches in Germany and the UK. Another conversation for those of you who follow the latest in the BNPL space. 

It will be interesting to see how the white-label bnpl offering develops over time and if other providers will move into this space (B2B) as opposed to the known B2C offering.

 Generally, it was a great dialogue with Robert who is an entrepreneur by heart. His knowledge of the BNPL market was clear to see, having spent a number of years working as the Country Head for @Klarna in the DACH region and prior to that Belgium and the Netherlands.
