Episode Title:- ๐บ๐ธBCI Regulation, Military Application et al๐บ๐ธ
On this #HTNeurotechSeries episode of Heads Talk, I am joined by Tim Marler, Professor and a Senior Research Engineer at RAND Corporation. ย
He is a co-founder and co-lead for the RAND Biological Technologies' Emerging Challenges Group and the RAND Health Biotechnology and BioEconomy Strategy Group.ย
Currently, Tim serves on the Department of Commerce's Materials and Equipment Technical Advisory Committee within the Bureau of Industry and Security.
The President of Virtual Systems Engineering, his work focuses on software for Analysing Circuit Cards, and he is the Chief Research Officer of SantosHuman Inc., which focuses on software for Digital Human Modelling.ย
Once again with the NeurotechSeries, we could have easily spent a good 2 hours just talking about the military aspect and use of BCIs in this episode. Tim provided me with a view of BCIs in combat, in war engagement and you getย a glimpse of operations going forward. Fascinating!ย
We also talked about the various industry sectors and how they will benefit from BCIs, starting with the medical and health sector.ย
A lot of innovative ideas were shared. So another good episode to listen to.ย
Topics Covered:
โฝ๏ธ Types of BCIs
โฝ๏ธ BCI Application in the Military
โฝ๏ธ Commercial Application of BCI
โฝ๏ธ BCI Regulation: The Obstacles and Maturity Level
โฝ๏ธ Privacy and Laws
โฝ๏ธ International Agreements and Considerations
โฝ๏ธ Are we ready for 'this type' of Neurotechnology
So downloadโณgrab a cup of Bird & Blend Tea Co - Smoky Russian Tea โ๏ธ& have a listen๐
