Opening Bible verse: Luke 24:1-10
We all think we want a tidy, clutter-free home, but is that it? After making homes beautiful, I started to notice something was missing. I felt like the women with whom I worked didn't feel as calm or settled in their tidy homes. I began to ask women if they had a best friend. Time and time again, the answer was, "no". If I noticed a crucifix in their home, I would begin to ask about their faith life. Slowly, it dawned on me. These women were all seeking the same thing. They were looking for real relationships that would challenge them to grow but they were also looking for relationships founded on their faith. We are all born with a God shaped hole in our hearts and we spend our lives trying to fill that hole with things or things but in baskets and labeled to perfection. It's not until we fill that hole with a relationship with God, do we really feel the peace we crave from a tidy wardrobe and home. In today's episode I talk about the evolution of decluttering wardrobes all the way through creating courses and opportunities for women to meet one another to declutter, meal plan, budget and most importantly, to grow in their faith.
