Between almost all spiritual victories, there is certain to be a time of great spiritual testing. The book of Exodus tells us of a place called Marah, where the children of Israel found bitter water. It was through this trying time that they saw a mighty miracle; likewise, we must endure the trials of life long enough to allow God to unfold His plan.
