If you found yourself in survival mode this year, I see you.
Be kind to yourself. Accept what this year was. Take time to reflect. Release. Recover. Recharge and get well. Then revisit and reinvest.
Then come the fall, you and I will once again leave the comfort zone. We’ll stretch ourselves. We’ll take risks. We’ll embrace the unfamiliar, and we’ll do it all for our students, because that is who we are and that is what we do.
I’ll see you in September.
Welcome to SPARKS: mini-segments intended to spark your thinking and ignite your practice. These short episodes are based on my written reflections, which you can find on the Teachers on Fire Magazine at Medium.com.
