196// Magic Moment: Using Anger as a Doorway to Meaningful Parent Child Relationship

Listen Later

Are anger and aggression always bad? Is there room for genuine upset in the realm of respectful parenting? There is merit and validity to accepting our emotions, even the strong ones! In this episode Felica breaks down the idea of using anger as a touch point to meaningful and empathetic connection with our children. She discusses the value of not squandering our anger but finding space for it. Can we see anger without shame and allow it to guide us to connection with our kids? Can we be genuine with them so they can see us as a separate being worthy of respect?

Review of the week byEllison RN:

STUMBLED UPON THIS PODCAST

I’m normally not a podcast person, but I found this one and love it! … Often times we hear what we should be doing without any encouragement for what we are actually doing. I found the lack of “do it like this” completely wonderful and tips for just dealing with my emotions or changing my mindset is what I needed. I’m in my late 30s and luckily listen to my own instincts. Just great to have the support thrown out there for doing just that! Thank you!
