In todays episode I wanted to give a brief background around my fitness and health journey and how it's shifted over the years. From how I was raised and my relationship with food, to how I struggled with binge restrict cycles around dieting from the age of 14, into early adulthood where I experienced full blown binge eating disorder for the first time. I used bodybuilding and fitness as a way to build back my control around myself and food, and eventually dropped all dieting and macro counting all together to learn intuitive eating and find food freedom once and for all. I am SO proud of how far I have come and hope it encourages you to know its normal for your journey not to be linear, and also that so much of our relationship with food stems from stuff happening within us and sometimes food can just be a substance that gets overused in the process. I am excited to explore more around our health together in future episodes, but I wanted to give a clear picture of my journey to help provide a background of what I went through and my journey up until this point.
