💥 Join me today on the podcast (link below) as I exhort: We who have been called out of darkness into the marvelous light, we must not look back to the “world” in longing as if giving up the “world” and its satanic influences would be such a hardship, that we can't simply let it go! Be not deceived, this “world” is fading away, it will burn up in fervent heat. Once you're out...stay out! This is why Lord Jesus puts us in remembrance of Lot's wife!
"Remember Lot's wife!" is a powerful warning from Jesus about the dangers of attachment to worldly things. In Luke 17:32, He reminds us of Lot's wife, who looked back at the burning city of Sodom and was turned into a pillar of salt. This act of looking back symbolized her longing for the life she was leaving behind, rather than focusing on the salvation ahead. Her body was leaving Sodom, but her heart was still there!
The Lord said that in the days before He returns the destruction of the world’s system will come quickly, just as it was in the days of Noah and the days of Lot.
• Luk 17:26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man:
Luk 17:27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
Luk 17:28 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
Luk 17:29 but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.
Luk 17:30 Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
Luk 17:31 “In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back.
Luk 17:32 Remember Lot’s wife.
Luk 17:33 Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it.
Just as Lot and his family were attracted to Sodom, likewise, we can look towards modern-day Babylon, the world’s system, and be attracted to its prosperity: its technology, its goods, its luxury, its glamour. There is nothing wrong per se with these things, but there is a danger of being sucked into the system. The day may come when we are persecuted. If we seek to save our physical life by compromising the truth, we might lose out on salvation. We might have to lose our physical life for Christ’s sake to gain eternal life. Lot was sucked into Sodom. Lot and his family went from being outside the city of Sodom to living in it, and then to being thoroughly involved in its day-to-day life. In the end, Lot had to be dragged out of Sodom by the angels. When the Lord says flee…FLEE & DON’T LOOK BACK!!!
Amen! 🎯 REPENT and BELIEVE and TURN back to God!
