This episode we are joined by Mr. Marty Staples - CEO of Topaz Energy - a Calgary based energy company listed on the TSX, with a market cap of ~$4 billion. 

Marty Staples commenced his role in April 2020 when Topaz hired its initial employees and has been instrumental in Topaz’s accretive acquisition growth strategy which has generated rapid earnings and dividend growth for Topaz shareholders. 

Mr. Staples has over 20 years' experience in the oil and gas industry in the areas of leadership, management, business development, exploration, land and evaluations. 

Previously, Mr. Staples spent ten years and played an integral role in the growth and development of Tourmaline Oil Corp., including the execution of $3.7 billion in cumulative asset and corporate acquisitions. Prior thereto, Mr. Staples held positions at both private and public companies. 

Mr. Staples holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the Haskayne School of Business at the University of Calgary.
