The American Heroes Run was the brainchild of David Clark who created the race based on the motto of "Patriotism Without Politics." The race honors first responders, military service people and veterans, the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and of course, David. It will take place on Sept. 9-10, 2022 at beautiful Rogers Grove Park in Longmont, Colorado. Distances are 5K, 9.11-miles, half-marathon, marathon, 9 hours and 11 minutes, 24 hours, and 100 miles. The course is a flat, very fast 1.05-mile loop that is half paved and half packed dirt. This means that every 1.05 miles runners will pass the fully-stocked aid station, bathrooms, and their own supplies as needed. All runners will receive a beautiful, patriotic-themed shirt. Finishers will receive an exclusive coin that David designed, and 100-mile finishers earn a commemorative belt buckle.
