The progression of P.D. chips away at the physical and mental fortitude of those unfortunate enough to be caught in its grasp. The decrease of the vocal cords' ability to speak loudly enough is mostly found in those with the later stages of Parkinson's disease. Also, the vocal cords' ability to work effectively is compromised.
