American Dental Association (ADA) data indicates the average net income for general practice dentists dropped by over $17,000 in 2024, from $225,230 in 2023 to $207,980 in 2024, primarily due to practice expenses outpacing revenue. Dentists are also working slightly longer hours, and when adjusted for inflation, the income decrease is even more substantial
