What are we doing here? Why did God leave His church behind instead of taking us straight to heaven? The Lord Jesus Christ left his followers with a command and mandate to make disciples who will make disciples. But what does that process involve? First, a person must believe in Christ, then they commit to follow Christ. However, perhaps the greatest challenge is for the believer to lose his or her life in order to take on the fullness of Christ's life and share it with others. Many talk about making disciples, so it is good to know the process. Charlie starts with an exposition of the great commission in Matthew 28:18-20 and goes on to exposit Matthew 16:24-25. The context and language of that latter passage is often misunderstood, but Jesus is clearly challenging His disciples to the next step.
