Barnabas was mentioned in Acts as being one who was an encouragement to those around him. The kingdom of God is in need of people who are not pessimistic or critical but are encouraging. As we go alongside others in the church and help them walk closer to God, we are fulfilling this role and acting as a Christian truly should.
