Today’s conversation is with Steven Beattie.
Steven is a personal trainer, medicine student at University of Dundee and MMA Fighter.
That varied bio may not sound too out there for a guest on this podcast, but I cannot do justice to what the next 80 minutes have in store for you.
Expect to learn Steven’s truly unique story. Born into deprivation and addiction, Steven's life has been full of challenges, including growing up in gang culture, caring for parents with serious illnesses, serving time in Europe's most dangerous prison Polmont, surviving multiple near-death experiences including a bottling, stabbings and a 70mph drunk crash.
Despite these obstacles and experiences, Steven has been able to turn his life around, studying physiology at The University of Glasgow and now becoming a doctor at the University of Dundee with a future career as a Neurologist.
But that is just scratching the surface. Steven has also trained for the marines, learnt fluent Spanish, French, became the fastest sprinter in Universities across Scotland, and is working towards a pro MMA fighter.
I can safely say Steven is one of the most inspiring, resilient, and high agency person I’ve ever met and I know how much you are going to take away from this episode. Take the time to pass on the podcast to a friend who would benefit from what I promise is one of the most powerful CamBro Conversations I’ve released in over 4 and a half years.
