The Scriptures speak very explicitly of the importance of both inward and outward holiness. One issue specifically addressed is the wearing of items that reflect inner pride and immodesty. The “gold” in our lives should be found on the inside, that is, a spirit that is in alignment with God’s Word and is truly Christ-like.
