With the midterm elections coming up so soon, I believe it’s incredibly important to address a large election integrity problem here in America, as well as a possible solution. The problem has to do with the fact that both wealthy American billionaires and multi-millionaires, as well as even foreign entities, are able to shape our local elections and our local referendums, by using large amounts of money.

In fact, there are some local elections in the country, where close to 90 percent of the donations came from out of state. This raises the question of whether, if someone is elected under those conditions, they really represent the will of their local constituents. However, there is a new proposed amendment to the U.S. Consitution that is roaring across the country, and it has now been endorsed by 22 out of the necessary 38 states.

This amendment, once passed, would officially become the 28th Amendment to the U.S. Consitution and it would officially ban the use of both foreign as well as out-of-state funding in local races.
