Have you ever heard an inappropriate weight or body-related joke from the pulpit?  Maybe you heard a weight loss commercial on your Christian radio station this morning. Or maybe, for some other reason, Church was the place that triggered your unhealthy relationship with food.

After listening to episode 03 of Faith-Filled Food Freedom, you’re going to not only be more aware of the reg flags of diet culture in the “big C” Church, but you’re also going to walk away with some tools to battle it.

In today’s episode, you’ll hear about one of the biggest mistakes I see Christian women making when it comes to battling diet culture in the Church, 4 red flags to watch for that may indicate diet culture has infiltrated your Church (including some insight into fasting), and 3 things you can do to start changing the culture in your own local body of believers.

Topics discussed in this episode include:

  • What happens when you let a person become your Bible
  • The shocking truth about how much time we’re NOT spending in the Word
  • How Brad Pitt and an avocado showed up in a Sunday sermon
  • How to fast without triggering food restriction
  • What it means to treat your body like a temple
  • Do clean and unclean foods still matter today?
  • What to do if you’re noticing diet culture trends or conversation in your Church
