30. What do I say to my downline when they tell me they want to quit?

In this episode, I tell you the two ways I responded when someone told me she was thinking about quitting. One was helpful. One wasn’t.

When this happens to you, it means that you have a good relationship with your downline. They like you enough to come to you about this. Most people quit without talking to their upline.

If they want to talk to you about it, they’re looking for a solution. 

How you help them come up with the solution is just as important as the solution they walk away with.

Here’s an overview of how I responded in a helpful manner to this situation:

  • I didn’t take it personally.
  • I helped them make a decision about whether or not they wanted to quit.
  • I coached them to come up with a plan.
  • I suggested resources and offered accountability and support.
