3000 Movies to Die Before You Watch episodes

  • Episode 53 - The Real Slaying of Ben Affleck

Disclaimer: No Ben Afflecks were harmed in the making of this podcast. This marks our second live show and this time we think it went much more smoothly. We begin with the harrowing tale of the glass-shattering noise that woke us up in the middle of the night, then stall as long as possible before launching into our review of Dazed and Confused.

  • Episode 52 - FaBOOlous Halloween Part 2

Fair warning: this episode had some glitches in it, as we recorded it live on Podbean for the first time ever! It was still fun though, and we got off topic many times. What was the topic again? Oh right, 2002's Cabin Fever.

  • Episode 51 - FaBOOlous Halloween Part 1

It is spooky season and we are celebrating! This very special episode features spooky games, a teaser for another podcast idea that we've been fleshing out for awhile now, plus our reviews of two iconic horror movies: the original 1978 Halloween, and 1981's Evil Dead. Neither of those movies are actually in our collection from the legendary Facebook Marketplace purchase, but we had the opportunity to see them in theaters this week and couldn't resist reviewing them. Jen was so traumatized that she spends much of the episode trying to talk about cows instead of the actual movies.

  • Episode 50 - Romdrom

We weren't sure if we were going to review "Before They Were Kings" or "The Lake House" for this episode, but guess what? We decided to review them both! Mostly because there's hardly anything to say about "Before They Were Kings." So we spend most of the episode asking the tricky time travel questions and ripping on Sandra Bullock's hair.

  • Episode 49 - Free From Our Flesh Prison

Welp, "It's Not All About Me" was definitely NOT the teen movie that Jen was expecting. And Inception felt like it took years, but maybe that's just because we were in the third level of dreaming? Hmm, maybe when we dream, we temporarily escape our flesh prisons, and maybe THAT'S what Joyce Meyer was talking about.

  • Episode 48 - Rube Goldberg's Murder House

We watched Saw II this week, and recorded a magnificent episode about it. Then, our software crashed, the episode was lost, and  we recorded a regular episode instead. We also eat our steak, and our words, very strangely.

  • Episode 48/49 Trailer

This little teaser episode reveals the titles of the next three movies that we'll be reviewing. Jen tries to guess what each movie is about based on the title, and if she's on the right track then we are in for quite a week.

  • Episode 47 - Barely Action-Sprinkled

We were promised an action movie and instead we were given a slow progression of camera and editing experiments. Man On Fire let us down and we struggled to find much to say about it. So naturally we skirt around the film as much as possible and try to come up with plot ideas that would make this movie actually good.

  • Episode 46 - B(r)ad Pitt-athon

The gods of random number generators gave us a Brad Pitt double feature this week, so Jen can finally put a face to the name. We started with Ocean's Eleven and ended with Interview With The Vampire. Despite the popularity of both of these, neither one of us had seen them before now. Will we drag these films through the mud like so many others before them? Or will one or both of these movies surprise and charm us? Tune in to find out - but you probably already know the answer.

We bought 3,120 DVDs on a whim. Now we're watching them one by one, and reviewing them... badly.
