The Word speaks in Jeremiah of both the fishers and the hunters sent by God. The fishers give appeals to mankind: the calls to repentance, prayer, and worship. We must respond to these callings of God, for the resistible calls, if refused, will eventually give way to the hunters who will stop at nothing except death and judgment.
