In the story of the Exodus in the Old Testament, the Word shows us how God's people were living in the land of Goshen. Although Goshen served a purpose for a time, it was never the plan of God for the children of Israel to remain there permanently - there was a much better land of Promise to which He would take them. As spiritual descendants of these people, we cannot become complacent in our "Goshen," but we must press forward into the place God has prepared for us.
