Although the Bible gives us very little insight into the life of Jabez, we know that he was a man of prayer. Through the avenue of prayer, Jabez asked God to bless him and keep His hand on him. This prayer can be applied to our lives, as Jabez provides an example of how to humbly approach God with faith and expectancy.
