We talk about the differences between NorCal and SoCal, his top trail running experiences (Marin Ultra Challenge, Bishop 100k, etc), The Bad Water Basin Race (World's Toughest Race), overcoming addiction & achieving sobriety, his transition from starting a band & becoming a songwriter to becoming a purpose driven coach, the importance of growth mindset, how trail running has enriched his overall life, and the one outdoor experience he would re-live all over again. Devon is a longtime friend from my college days who was even apart of my breakdancing crew and has been a mentor of sorts at different points in my life. He is one of the most intelligent and well spoken individuals I know and is a major inspiration to others to become the best versions of themselves they can be.
