It’s hard to deny that the temperature has dramatically risen in our culture when it comes to politics, religion, culture wars, etc. As Gavin points out in his book, we seem to have lost the ability to disagree well, and as followers of Jesus, we are called to rise above “the rancor and ‘cancel culture’ tactics of the world around us.”
