Today on What's My Frame? I'm joined by casting director and owner of ASG Casting Arlene Schuster-Goss. Arlene found her way to casting via NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts with a degree in Film and finding a hidden talent for working with talent on rock documentaries in New York. Arlene has over 2,000 credits to her name, and her resume is only matched by her warmth and respect for actors! When the time came to open her own office ASG Casting in Los Angeles, she used the opportunity to set a new precedent in casting. I'm sure many of you have stopped to Instagram the famous sign outside their door... "You are 1 of 36 actors chosen for your role today. You were selected from a pool of 600 - 3,000 submissions..." If you have been fortunate enough to earn one of those coveted spots you know first hand how special ASG's office is! Arlene and her business partner Justin wanted to do more to support actors and founded Camera Left, Stage Right, a collective for artists to learn directly from those in the room.
