The Gospel of Mark tells us of a blind beggar named Bartimaeus who was desperate to get to Jesus. Putting his faith into action, he became an example to us as he rose, cast off his beggar's garment, and came to Jesus. When we come to Jesus, as Bartimaeus did, we don't need our old identity anymore, for He has a better garment for us - one of salvation.
