You often hear Black people in the UK say they don't feel British at all. Disconnected from Britishness and in some cases their own heritage, Black Brits have been left to define their own culture…. and you know what, we ain't mad at it! This weeks toxic submitter fears that one day her Blackness will be erased by interracial dating and will eventually have to raise White grandchildren, but in true Fola and Rukiya style we're here to help you see the brighter side of things! Join us as we discuss Black Britishness, how to keep in touch with your roots whilst living in Britain and why you should love being a Black Brit!
For Black History Month we'll be turning down the toxicity (just a notch!) Each week, we'll be discussing topics specific to the Black community and dispelling some of the myths that often hold us back, as well as how to overcome some of the realities that stunt our growth too! Laughs and upliftment still included.
