48. A True Travel Social Worker - You Can Become One Too! with Alisha Powell

Dr. Alisha Powell has a bachelor's and master’s degree in social work and a doctorate degree in Psychology. She has experience working in a variety of settings that have included long-term care, hospitals, outpatient clinics, and residential treatment centers working with clients from all walks of life. Alisha became curious about travel social work due to her love for travel and has taken numerous contract assignments across the United States. Dr. Powell is a licensed clinical social worker in 8 different states and has a post-graduate certificate in Marriage and Family Therapy. She is well-versed in case management, medical social work, and assessment. Her areas of special practice include couples therapy, work-life balance, and religious trauma. She is passionate about being a lifelong learner and currently works as a therapist, consultant, and educator (all remotely).
