The strategies direct sellers use to build their businesses have changed over the years, especially with technology and social media, but the principles haven’t.
This is a relationship business, and the most successful direct sellers are the ones who are building relationships.
Social media is great, and it allows you to meet more people. You should use it, but most direct sellers aren’t using it correctly. Instead of sharing their stories and experiences, they copy and paste features and benefits.
Instead of greeting people as they come into their group or their parties, they’re waiting for customers to engage with their posts.
If you were building a business without using social media, like we had to back in the old days, you’d be greeting all of your guests as they came to the party. You’d share stories and your experiences using the products by using your own words. You wouldn’t read someone else’s script.
When you use in-person strategies for your online business, you’ll be much more successful.
Very few direct sellers have enough of a social media presence to build a successful business just by using social media. Those who established a large presence did it by putting themselves out there and creating original content.
This episode gives you actionable steps you can take to create more connections and build stronger relationships with your customers and followers. When you take these steps, you’ll feel empowered and more in control of your business.
I know it’s uncomfortable to put yourself out there, but I think it’s more uncomfortable to stay stuck and not reach your goals, and this is one of the reasons why I created a new program called Energize.
