Modern humans aren't known for our patience. We think, if we slow down we're going to miss out on something. We're afraid other people are making more, doing more, seeing more, locking up those tickets to the Taylor Swift concert. The truth is that most of the things we're missing out on are the things we're racing past.

Wildlife filmmaker John Aitchison is in the business of slowing things down. Literally and metaphorically. He's out in the wild for 140 days a year sitting quietly just to capture a few minutes in the life of some of the most amazing creatures on earth. His philosophy is simple. You can't protect something you don't love and you can't love something you don't know. He's spent his life and career trying to get as many people as he can to know, love and protect the natural world.
