To some degree, every stock investor is looking for asymmetric returns. While the market delivers, on average, around 10% in gains each year, stocks also provide the rare opportunity to earn substantial multiples on your initial investment. Travis Hoium has spent years looking for those winners, and now he's helping people find them. An engineer by training and longtime writer for The Motley Fool, Travis is also the founder of the Asymmetric Investing newsletter, where he provides access to research on stocks he thinks have the potential – and characteristics – to deliver asymmetric returns. 

Recently, Travis sat down with Jason and Jeff to talk about his journey, some of the lessons he's learned along the way, his investing philosophy, and his approach to finding asymmetric opportunities. He also shares two ideas that he thinks are good examples of how these opportunities can often hide in plain sight. In the second part of the show, Jason and Jeff put Travis through the wringer in a lightning round.
