Take a look around. North Korea, Iraq, Iran, Israel, Russia, Syria, Yemen, South Korea, China, Japan and the United States (just to name a few) are all either involved in an ongoing war or making preparations for one.

You combine the threat of war with the looming economic problems in China, the EU and here at home and you've got a recipe for disaster.

But before you start digging holes in your backyard or teach your kids to "duck and cover" might I suggest we all take a breath and recognize the risks for what they are.

Risks are present in every society at every point in human history. There's a risk an asteroid might fly right into earths orbit and impact on top of Time Square. Anything is possible.

What you and I need to do is recognize the risks, take precautions where necessary and then accept bad things sometimes will happen.

A life lived in fear is no life at all. I spend a lot of time telling you all the problems we face, but I never want you to walk away from the show feeling like there's no hope. Struggle creates opportunity. Companies are started, and millions are made during tough economic times. Don't let the threat of economic uncertainty keep you from chasing your dreams. Get to work.
