Today, anonymity presents a unique opportunity to hear a medical student and Navy veteran's perspective on how institutional capture has impacted the military and medical campuses. As a historically progressive person, Sarah shares shocking anecdotes of ways that policies aimed at promoting social justice are harming the effectiveness and efficiency of our national institutions, as she discovered during her experience within the Navy and a west coast medical school. 

Sarah is a Navy veteran, certified paramedic, and third year medical student. She obtained her paramedic license at age 19, and soon after she joined the Navy where she worked at a stateside clinic, on a forward-deployed aircraft carrier, and in a remote overseas Naval hospital. After honorably discharging, she returned home and was accepted into medical school in 2020. She plans to graduate in 2025 and specialize in emergency medicine.
