21-year-old Lauren McCluskey went out to a bar in September of her senior year at the University of Utah. At the bar Lauren met a 28-year-old bouncer named Shawn Fields, and the two quickly hit it off and began dating. What Lauren would later learn about her new boyfriend was much more frightening, dangerous and violent than she could've ever imagined. When Lauren tried to break off her relationship, University of Utah campus police failed her, ultimately leading to her death.
