ADHD can lead to procrastination as we may struggle with focus, organisation, can make it difficult to start and complete tasks. One reason ppl with ADHD may struggle with procrastination is problems with executive functioning skills, such as planning, prioritising and time management
Another reason ppl with ADHD procrastinate is due to difficulty regulating emotions and motivation. We can struggle with boring or uninteresting tasks and become easily distracted by more stimulating tasks All this makes it challenging to maintain focus over time and leads to procrastination
Procrastination can have so many negative consequences. In this episode we talk about the act of delaying or putting off tasks until the last minute and discuss strategies/tips that can help you manage ADHD procrastination.
