Greetings, and welcome back to the rose bros podcast!

This episode we are joined by real estate entrepreneur - Trung Bien.

Trung is an uncommon realtor both in his origins from an immigrant family and his success & longevity as a real estate investor.

While studying Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the University of Calgary, Trung developed a passion for real estate and bought his first rental property in 2006.

By 2010, Trung had acquired a $3.5 million portfolio of cash flow rental properties in Calgary and Edmonton.

In 2012, Trung decided to pursue a professional career with Trickle Creek Custom Homes, where he went on to buy and sell ~$9 million in inner city residential lots.

Since leaving Trickle Creek, Trung has continued to help people buy and sell their homes through his  association with Re/Max Real Estate & eXp Realty.

Trung is also a four time recipient of the RE/MAX Chairman's Club award.

We sat down for a smooth cup of rose bros coffee and discussed learning the real estate business and Trung's experience nearly going bankrupt, why housing is booming, the best type of real estate investments, and advice on what not to do in real estate, both as realtor & investor.
