74. Why Not Drinking Is Easy

Listen Later

Why not drinking is easy … how often do you hear that? I thought so.

The prevalent belief you’ll come across again and again is “stopping overdrinking is SO HARD.” Which feels more and more true the more we hear it spoken.

No wonder so many of us feel stuck, especially when we have a go at changing our drinking only to slip up. That’s when all the excuses get rolled out:  “back to day 1 again … I knew it would be so hard to change my drinking.”

In today’s episode, I explain the difference between something being hard and a struggle, how our experience is created and how we can decide on purpose what we want it to be. This is the exact way I went from thinking it would be so hard to change my drinking to achieving my desired result in less time and with more joy.

I can help you moderate or give up drinking for good.

You know what you want for your life. I know how to help you get it.
