Friday night, when the 76ers host the Houston Rockets at 8:00 PM EST at The Center, Brett Brown's team will make its fourth appearance of the season on national television, with ESPN broadcasting the game.
From the Sixers' standpoint, the timing of ESPN's latest visit to South Philadelphia coincides with their strongest stretch of basketball in more than five years. The club has prevailed in 10 of its past 13 games, and boasts the third-best January winning percentage in the NBA.
On this January 26th edition of The BroadCast, Sixers.com's Brian Seltzer and Charlie Widdoes are joined by veteran ESPN announcer Mark Jones, who will be in town to call Friday's action. Included among the topics the three discuss are:
• The national media's perspective of the Sixers' recent turnaround.
• The start Joel Embiid has enjoyed to his professional career.
• Jones' impressions of Ben Simmons, whose summer league games Jones called this past July.
