rise: to lift up升起的意思 例如sunrise日出、rise early早起、rise up 升起 都是指着实物上的升起rise当起床、起立都可以和arise互换,但是arise还有一个比较与rise不一样的用法。例如:The sun rises in the east.· I rise early in the morning to catch the train.· The sound from the music concert was rising in pitch.· The hot air balloon is rising up in the sky.arise:to come about 产生、出现。例如 for a situation to arise/come about/come up… I want you to be here if the need arises.· Hopes arise in the gloomiest of situations. Do not be despondent as opportunities can arise any moment. He promised his help if the need arose. The question of military takeover does not arise.
2. keep the company afloat
3. Grips (紧抓、紧握的手)的两个常见的片语:(Dean问)Come to grips with (理解、认清、着手面对)If you come to grips with it, you consider it seriously and start taking action to deal with it. Get a grip (控制自己的情绪) If you get a grip on yourself, you make an effort to control or improve your behavior or work.
4. butterflies in your stomach
I feel like I’m going to shit my pants!
