Shannon Mercer and I sit down with Sean Ferris, Tournament Director at Desert Mountain Golf Club in Scottsdale.
Listen in as he gives us an insider’s perspective on the logistics of running a club with seven golf courses, from scheduling challenging tee times to ensuring members get to experience each unique course.
An experienced golfer himself, Sean doesn't shy away from revealing which course he finds most challenging and how the toughest holes can transform into your most memorable experiences in the sport.
Sean gives us the ins-and-outs of Desert Mountain’s golf program for ladies, including an innovative Friday night initiative for working women, a nine-hole league, and an inclusive bridge program for beginners. He also talks about some fun new, camaraderie-fostering initiatives he’s been putting into place at member guest tournaments.
