Lynn Rodriguez is originally from post falls Idaho, but now calls home Hermiston, Oregon. She started on a rodeo scholarship in Blue Mountain and never looked back!

As a 3rd generation rodeo cowgirl, rodeo runs deep in her roots! She never knew anything different than rodeo and roping. Her grandpa is someone that Lynn gives a lot of credit to, “he not only was a good roper but he loved the Lord and loved his family,” Lynn says, “he loved to rope but wanted to provide for his family, and that was something that he wasn’t willing to sacrifice.” He not only instilled strong morals, family ties, and work ethic into Lynn, her grandpa also shared his love with her of rodeo and roping!

Lynn is a very accomplished woman in and out of the rodeo arena. Her husband Ben is a huge part of her life, not only her best friend and biggest fan, but her husband, father to their daughter Olivia, and a man who stands beside her and encourages her on every path that she takes. Lynn contributes a big part of her success to her family members, and friends, who all help her on her journey to breakaway roping. 

Lynn talks about her conversion from team roping to breakaway roping. From body position, to scoring, to riding, to her ropes, tip control, and more, and how she just kept working at it. Lynn talks about being a roper at a different phase in her life, and as the seasons change, so do her priorities. She is a mom first, then a wife, and a career woman! “As much as I had in my mind what my life was going to look like, God had a plan, and it was different than what I thought it looked like. My path is a lot different than what I had thought, but I think for me, you have to go down your path, knowing your priorities,” Lynn says, and she lives it everyday. 

Her biggest thing is family and marriage. Her husband Ben, who owns and operates his own personal Hunting & Guiding Service, Help 2 Hunt, supports Lynn through all of her dreams and adventures through roping and Pro Rodeo. They give and take, and support each other through all of their ventures of parenting, businesses, and roping.
