Kesh Keerthi is Central Australian Cricket Coordinator with NT Cricket, overseeing cricket in the Alice Springs Region of the NT.  Kesh’s focus involves the development of youth, one cricket programs being the Cricket Blast and the Finale at Traeger Park for ASCA Under 10s and Under 13s. He's keen to see these young players transitioning into the ASCA cricket competitions which are on until mid December. And it's not too soon to start prepaing for next year's Imparja Cup 15-19 February 2024.

A Christmas ceramics exhibition by Purple House patients, 'Ngurrju Mani' (Warlpiri for ‘making’), has a special opening today at the Bush Balm Shop. The group have met weekly for more than three years as part of a creative wellbeing program, making ceramics at Charles Darwin University’s Alice Springs campus. Purple House CEO, Sarah Brown, visits The Big Brekky to tell us about it.

Dom Brinkley, a singer/songwriter from Naarm/Melbourne now based in Mparntwe/Alice Springs, recently released his new single 'Australia' at the Jump Inn. ‘Australia’ is best described as an indie rock/psychedelic folk song, and Dom tells The Big Brekky all about it. Tune in to hear it live on air, and catch Dom this Sunday at The Alice Springs Brewing Co to celebrate the new release from 4:00-7:00pm.

The Tennant Creek Youth Centre opened in late September 2023 as one of the commitments of the 78 million dollar Barkly Regional Deal. The custom-built space consists of a ninja warrior course, basketball hoops, activity breakout rooms and a kitchen for centre staff to supply youth people with food and is of course very well airconditioned to battle the Barkly heat. But recently local residents have raised concerns over changes in the centre hours and supervision of the young people who frequent the space.

Liesl Rockchild OAM, Manager, and Maggie Pereyra, Senior Support Worker, from Bindi Enterprises are back on the Big Brekky Show to announce the opening of the Bindi Digital Art Prize exhibition. This event showcases the artistic talent of those in and around Mparntwe/Alice Springs as well as inviting national artists to share their talent with our community. The $3000 prize will be announced at the opening this Saturday 23 November from 10am, and there’s also a $500 People’s Choice award.

It’s about to get a new lease on life thanks to Our Community Shed who are preparing for their inaugural AGM on November 28 and inviting community involvement.
