Aboriginal Not-For-Profit cultural consultancy, Wilya Janta, has found all the funds needed to construct Tennant Creek’s first ever display homes designed by Aboriginal people for Aboriginal people, a project named ‘Explain Home’. Dr Simon Quilty, Chief Operating Officer, Jimmy Frank Jupurula, Chief Cultural Officer, join 8CCC's Shauna in the Tennant Creek studio to tell us about it.

Sam Hussey, the curator for Olive Pink Botanical Gardens, joins the show to give an update on the many things happening at OPBG this year, from big festivals to workshops and competitions, landscaping and the effects of the summer's heat. In May, the Garden will celebrate Olive Pink's life fifty years after her death. a breast cancer fundraiser.

The Big Brekky Show welcomed Nicholas Clifton, a Darwin based singer-songwriter and content creator. Clifton mixes Pop, Punk and R&B into his own unique sound and just released his self-titled EP Clifton on the 8th of February. The EP is an indie rock anthem packed with 2010s house party nostalgia.

Local afro-beat artist Katanga Jr joined the Big Brekky Show this morning. 2025 looks set to be even bigger, with his return from East Africa kicking the year off and following the release of Tanzania, the first single off his forthcoming five-track EP Bongo. We were also treated to an acoustic version of a yet to be recorded or released, beautiful song.

Western Arrernte marathon runner from Mpartnwe, Charlie Maher Junior, competed in the Cadbury Marathon on Muwinina Palawa country, in Nipaluna, Hobart, Tasmania.

"I've ran 10 Marathons in the last 15 years through the Indigenous Marathon Project/Foundation and this one was by far the toughest one yet", says Maher Junior. Hear all about it on The Big Brekky Show.
