After being in limbo since October last year, the Barkly Region is soon set to head to the polls on Saturday, November 2. The Barkly Regional Council were officially dismissed after an eight-month investigation into their conduct, leaving the 12 councillors and one mayor position on the Council vacant. We were joined on the Big Brekky Program by the NT Electoral Commission’s Senior Project Officer of the Barkly Regional Council Election, Greg Hibble to discuss the nomination process and the cutoff date as midday 10 October.

Mparntwe-based artist, Emma Trenorden, has released her single 'Radical RE', the first from her upcoming EP 'ReWILD'. The song is inspired by the words of climate activists and is about renewal, reimagining and regeneration. She is also launching her book of poetry, 'High Fire Danger' at Red Kangaroo Books this Saturday.
