Jeff Evely is a retired Master Warrant Officer of the Canadian Armed Forces with over 20 years of service, including deployments in Afghanistan (2009), Iraq (2019), and NORAD operations (2010-2014). In August 2025, Evely gained national attention for violating Nova Scotia's wildfire-related ban on entering wooded areas to challenge it in court, resulting in a $28,872.50 fine under the province's Forests Act.
