The group also discusses the sale of New Belgium Brewery to Lion Little World Beverages, a subsidiary of Kirin Holdings Company of Japan. They also talk about success and sustainability of the craft beer industry. Then, they all look ahead to 2020 and what beer will be flowing in the coming year. Joe Ovies, Adam Eshbaugh, and Wayne Holt host this week, and welcome Kyle Ramage, who along with Lemuel Butler, operates Black & White Coffee Roasters in Wake Forest; and, also runs the coffee counter at Videri Chocolate Factory in downtown Raleigh. Ramage was the 2017 U.S. Barista Champion, and Butler won the U.S. Barista Championship in 2016.

Their draft list features the Soul Proprietor Cream Ale; The Pivot IPA; Golden Age, an American Blonde Ale; AM Snack, a Breakfast Stout; Musa Weisse, a Hefeweizen; 1895 Lager; Downing Oats, an Oat Pale Ale; Hive O’ Clock, a Blonde Ale; and Fairest Test, a Saison. The smokehouse has pulled pork, beef brisket, ribs, and chicken, smoked with oak and hickory wood.
