Katy has recently just gotten married to Jens Burg, who is a Custom bit and spurs maker, and is living out her dream of broadcasting during this season of her life! 

Katy has always loved rodeo, from the age of 11 days old that she attended her first rodeo, to now, Katy has been involved in so many facets of the sport! Katy has been from one end of the chutes to the other as a Breakaway Roper, Team Roper,  Miss Rodeo Canada, Daughter of Smokin’ Joe Lucas, and sister of Kyle Lucas, and now one of the top broadcasters on the Cowboy Channel!

Katy’s knowledge of the sport of rodeo is her #1 priority, that rodeo will always come first for her and her family, and has opened the doors for her in her career.
